WELCOME
We are so looking forward to welcoming you to stay with us here for a little well isolated holiday!
I thought the best way to let you know of the new procedures we have in place was to pop it all in a letter. The procedures we have in place are working well and I am confident we have a Covid safe environment to holiday in.
BATHROOMS
Each yurt has their own private bathroom with a key, with a shower and toilet. I am going to close the little ‘bothy’ loo as this is a small space and everyone uses it. It means you will only have access to your own yurt’s bathroom. Please can I ask families to visit in groups of two only and take care over the staircase railing and door entry. Please wear a mask in indoor shared bathroom space.
SNUG
There is a communal space next to the bathrooms called the snug which will now only contain the honesty shop and some local art. Please only touch that which you intend to buy. I will no longer have a cash box here but ask everyone to BACS or paypal for purchases.
As the communal element to the Snug is now closed please can I (sadly) ask you to bring any board games, outside games, maps and investigate local attractions before you arrive. I am of course on hand to make suggestions and I can text you links to local attractions very easily.
YURT
Each yurt has been Saniton fogged with a machine that fills it with the best offer on the market to sanitise the space. The pillows and mattresses have double protectors on them and every high tough surface has been wiped with an anti-viral fluid.
I have also (really sadly) had to remove a few items from your yurt. This pains me most! As they are quite unique to each yurt and have been sourced over a number of years. So please forgive me your yurt doesn’t look exactly as it did on my website.
Please maintain social distancing when refilling wood, crossing on paths and in the bathroom space.
THE KITCHEN…
Please wear a mask in the kitchen.
There is a rota system – of an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening for you to use the cooking and washing facilities. You must wash your hands on entry to the kitchen.
One family member to use it at a time. I will provide an antibacterial cloth and sanitizing solution and ask you to please wipe all surfaces, oven nobs, fridge handles and taps before leaving.
Outside of these times please enter one at a time. You will have your own fridge – but please wipe the handles of the freezer if accessing ice.
The kitchen will be closed for an hour for a deep clean everyday.
Each yurt does also have their own camping stove to use outside, you can also cook on the wood-burner and using the BBQ at each yurt.
Please bring and remove your own Charcoal for the BBQ. I will have some to purchase but please take the remainder with you.
RISK ASSESSMENT
You will be send a current risk assessment before arrival at the yurts.
